City Of Regina, Saskatchewan
Canada's Queen City started life as a tent settlement
named Pile O' Bones. Back then, the site was a treeless
plain near a small, winding creek. Today it is the
provincial capital with an urban forest of more than 350,000
hand-planted trees, an extensive park system, major
attractions, colourful heritage and friendly people.
Your list of 'must sees' while in Regina includes the RCMP
Centennial Museum, located on the grounds of the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police training centre. Wascana Centre is a
930-hectare parkland development in the heart of Regina that
features six distinct parks plus a number of popular
attractions - Saskatchewan Science Centre/IMAX Theatre,
Royal Saskatchewan Museum and MacKenzie Art Gallery. The
city also boasts excellent shopping, restaurants and Casino
Regina in the historic Union Centre.
