Tourism Information
Nanisivik "the place where one finds things" It was
developed in the 1970's to support the Nanisivik Mine, which
has now closed. This little mining town made gradually fade
away as the site is reclaimed and shut down completed Or, it
may remain, as it is located at a good deep water port.
Nanisivik is connected to Arctic Bay
by Nunavut's longest road, all 21 km.
